Note the following:
-If any check "fails" a user can continue to test but may have a less than optimal testing experience. The Sockets check is the only test that if failed will prevent a test from launching.
-Examinees should not be connected to a VPN while taking an exam. VPNs have to be turned off prior to launching an exam to avoid connectivity issues.
When a examinee starts a exam a computer and connectivity check is done. Below each check is described.
Socket
This check is done to see if a socket connection can be established.
Ping
This check is done to see if the ping is reliable (no dropped packets in 2 second test).
Download
This check is done to see if a minimum download speed of 5 Mbps is possible.
Upload
This check is done to see if a minimum upload speed of 1 Mbps is possible.
Cookies
This is to check and see if cookies can be written.
Browser
The browser check will check what version of the browser you are running. We support the latest version as well as the previous three versions of the following web browsers:
Google Chrome (Recommended)
Microsoft Edge
Mozilla Firefox
Safari (MAC)
Opera (not recommended)
