How to Use Form Builder in Scorpion
You can control how the difficulty in scorpion is calculated in four ways.
- Set all difficulties to zero
- Item P-Value
- Live Version P-Value
- Review Data
Setting all difficulties to zero will make all of the item/ form difficulties zero. The Item P-Value will calculate based on all of the responses ever given on the item, then use this to calculate an average for all of the items to calculate the form difficulty. The Live Version Item P-Value will calculate based on all of the responses given on the item in it's current version, then use this to calculate an average for all of the items to calculate the form difficulty. You also option of Review Data which will calculate the difficulty of items based on the response to a question response used in a review.
1- Select the Form Builder page from the drop down menu in the top left corner while in your scorpion project.
2- Click on the Set Difficulties button in the top right corner.
3- Click on the drop down arrow.
4- Select how you would like the difficulty to be calculated.
5- You can use the upper and lower bound boxes to change how the difficulty is calculated and presented.
6- SKIP IF YOU DID NOT CHOOSE REVIEW DATA: If you choose Review data, choose the question from the reviews that you want to base the difficulty on.
7- Click on the Submit button.
