This step-by-step guide will assist you in setting up your phone or tablet device so that it can be used with Caveon Observer to facilitate the phone camera requirement.
Primary Method
- After scanning the QR code on your Observer Launch screen with your device you should be presented a prompt asking you to Allow or Deny requests to access the Camera, Tap on Allow for each prompt
- Reload the page by tapping on the refresh button if your camera image doesn't appear.
If you are not prompted to allow access for the site or accidentally clicked deny
- Click on the three dots located near the URL bar
- Tap on Settings
Tap on Site Settings
Tap On Camera and change to Allow
- Tap On Microphone and change to Allow
Go back to the Observer screen on your mobile device and complete the steps required.
If after site permissions you are still not able to share your Camera and Microphone
- Go to your devices Settings
- Tap on Apps or Applications
- Tap on Chrome
- Tap on Permissions
Tap on Camera and change its setting to "Allow only while using the app", and ensure that it moves from Denied to Allowed
- Tap on Microphone and change its setting to "Allow only while using the app", and ensure it moves from Denied to Allowed
- Close and re-open Chrome and rescan the QR code.
Additional Troubleshooting
- Try restarting your device.
- If your device is managed by corporate policies, (Mobile Device Management systems), ask your administrator to allow access for the site or use a different unmanaged device.
