Allowing Camera and Microphone access in iOS 26

This step-by-step guide will assist you in setting up your phone or tablet device so that it can be used with Caveon Observer to facilitate the phone camera requirement.

Primary Method

1. After scanning the QR code on your Observer Launch screen with your device you should be presented a prompt stating "Observer would like to use the camera" or "Observer would like to use the Microphone"
2. Tap Allow
3. Reload the page by tapping on the refresh button if your camera image doesn't appear.

If you are not prompted to allow access for the site

1. Exit Safari
2. Tap on Settings

3. Scroll Down to Apps tap on it

   

4. Locate Safari and tap on it

   

5. Scroll down to the bottom where you see Settings for Websites and tap on Camera

   

6. If the selection in on Deny, change it to Ask.  If the setting is on Ask but the prompt didn't appear change it to Allow

   

7. Tap on the arrow
8. Tap on Microphone
9. If the selection in on Deny, change it to Ask.  If the setting is on Ask but the prompt didn't appear change it to Allow
10. Go back to Safari and refresh the page.

If after adjusting Global Permissions in iOS you are still not able to share your Camera and Microphone

1. Within Safari tap on the icon in the URL bar/Site Name bar

2. On the Site Highlights page tap on the ... Button

   

3. Scroll down until you see Website Settings for Observer and ensure that Camera, Microphone and location are set to Allow.

   

4. Tap on the checkbox at the top of the page menu

   

5. Tap on the Website main screen to hide the highlights popup
6. Refresh the page

Additional Troubleshooting

1. Try restarting your device.
2. If your device is managed by corporate policies, (Mobile Device Management systems), ask your administrator to allow access for the site or use a different unmanaged device.
