This document will show you how to set up a Caveon ID and two factor authentication for Caveon ID (two factor authentication starts on step 7 of this document). Caveon ID is used for authenticating to Caveon software services including, Core, SEI, API and Scorpion.
1- To create a Caveon ID go to id.caveon.com which will bring you to this page:
2- Then click on the New user? Create a free Account link under the submit button.
3- You will then be prompted to enter your first name, last name, email, password and to check the I’m not a robot verification.
4- You will then be emailed a confirmation code which will need to be entered here:
*Please check you Junk Emails if you do not see it in your inbox.
5- You will then need to read through and agree to the Terms of Service & Privacy Policy.
6- You will then see the User Dashboard where you can edit your information and set up Two factor authentication.
7- To set up two step factor authentication you will need to set up a phone number by clicking on SET PHONE next to either No phone number set or Two factor authentication requires a phone (if you have already set up a phone number skip to step 11).
8- You will then be prompted to enter a phone number. Be sure to enter a number that supports text messages/SMS messages.
9- You will then see the following screen and be sent a text message with the confirmation code.
10- You will then see the dashboard and see that the phone number is updated with a green check mark.
11- To set up two factor authentication click on SET UP next to Two factor authentication is disabled.
12- You will then be prompted to enable two factor authentication with either an app (which is recommended and more secure) or with text message (SMS authentication). To see the steps to set up two factor authentication with text message, see steps 13 - 14. To see the steps to set up two factor authentication with Authy, see steps 15 - 28. To see the steps to set up two factor authentication with Google Authenticator, see steps 29 - 33.
SMS/ Text Messaging Two Factor Authentication
13- To setup two factor authentication with text messaging (SMS) click on Enable with SMS.
14- You will then see the following screen:
You will be texted an authentication code next time you login. The Authentication code will be entered in the following screen:

15- To set up two factor authentication with Authy, click on Enable with authentication app.
16- You will then see the following screen:
17- After downloading Authy on your phone, click on the app and you will see the following screen:
18- Click on +Code and select the appropriate country.
19- Then select Cellphone number and enter your phone number.
20- You will then be prompted to enter your email address.
Note: be sure that the email address that you configure is the same e-mail address you are using to sign into Caveon ID.
21- You will then be prompted to either be texted or called with a Confirmation Pin.
22- Once you choose to be either called or texted, you will be prompted to enter the confirmation pin. After you enter your confirmation pin, select verify.
23- You will then be taken to the following screen:
Select the plus symbol in the center of the screen.
24- You will then see the following screen:
You can then either select the Scan QR Code button (this will likely be the easier option) and scan the QR code from the website or select the Enter key manually option under the Scan QR Code option and enter the code from the website which is found here:
25- You will then be prompted to create a Backups Password. Create the password and then select Enable Backups.
26- You will then be prompted to confirm your password. After you have reentered your password, select OK.
27- You will then see the following screen:
Select the Save button.
28- You have now completed the two factor authentication with Authy. The next time you login, you will be prompted enter a 6-digit token from Authy which looks like this:

Google Authenticator Two Factor Authentication
29- To set up two factor authentication with Google Authenticator, click on Enable with authentication app.
30- You will then see the following screen:
31- After downloading Google Authenticator on your phone, click on the app and you will see the following screen:
32- You will then see the following screen:
You can then either select the Scan barcode button and scan the QR code from the website (this will likely be the easier option) or select the Manual entry option under the Scan barcode option and enter the code from the website which is found here:
33- You have now completed the two step factor authentication with Google Authenticator. The next time you login, you will be prompted enter a 6-digit token from Google Authenticator which looks like this:
